The Spiritual Way to Happiness

We Got the Power Within Us

  Be Happy! 

"When the fires of selfish desire have been extinguished, by freeing the mind of desire and fear, then love and peace and perfect health shall awaken within you." 

# 1 - Happiness Is an Inside Job!
Nothing or no one can make us happy! True, others can be a part of our happiness. We can enjoy their being with us, but happiness must first come from within. When we are happy we are the master of our destiny.  Dependency and substitution for happiness is always a sure set up for misery. "A happy person never does harm to himself or others!"

#2 – Eliminate unhappiness!
Do an inventory of your thoughts. What thoughts are defeating to you? Look at the places you go to. Are any of these places causing you unhappiness? How about the things you hold onto in your house? Eliminate thoughts and things which make you unhappy or are of no longer any use to you.
 

#3  Help someone!
A great way to feel useful! And when we feel we are of use to others and have contributed to the well being of another person, then we experience a great sense of happiness! Helping someone without expecting anything in return is the key here!

 #4  -  Pray and Meditate!
I
n prayer we look for God’s will and His protection. If we have turned our will and the situation over to God, the outcome will be in His hands. We are less likely to experience stress or anxiety. We surrender the results to Him. We are not dependent on others or things. Meditation clears our minds. We can see our thoughts. We can see our priorities. We can hear the voice of reasoning and Peace. Relax and take it easy. The right thought will come after we have tried meditation for awhile. TAKE A PRAYER!  instead of a drink or a pill! 

They that seek GOD shall never be without any good thing.

  #5 – Keep it simple!
If we’re doing too many things, and we are getting overwhelmed, that’s a sure sign we are going to get frustration and some resentments that go along with unhappiness! If it’s complicated it is not simple! And if it’s not simple we aren’t going to appreciate it! 

#6 –Be in the positive!
 Look for the good! Look for the solution in every problem. Listen to the positive, see the positive, hang with positive people! You have a God given right as everybody else to choose to be around only those who like you and who support you!
     When we begin to look for the positive in ourselves we will see the positive in others! 

# 7 – Spend time wisely
Time is All We Have to Give  ~
Who or what we spend our time with is a giving of ourselves. It requires effort, attention, devotion, thought, feelings, spirit, Our whole presence. Our time is our sun giving its rays to all we touch.
Therefore, what grows is always what we have given our time to ~
That's why time is a Gift. Life is such a precious Gift!

#8 – Keep Physically Fit!
What we eat does affect our nervous system. What we eat does affect our moods!  exercise regularly.-the mind which depends on chemicals produced from the body will not be able to bring the endorphins necessary to produce the "euphoria" in the brain which supports happiness.

                       #9 – Feed the Mind Positive Images!

See, hear, and do  healthy things. Images and sounds do invoke energy. Positive energy stimulates happiness and feelings of wellness while negative images and sounds drain us of our energy leaving us depressed and feeling hopeless. All images produce chemical reactions within the brain!   what we take in is what we put out!  And what we put out is what we get!

#10    Be Good to Yourself!
When we are patient and caring with ourselves, we will continue to attract those people and situations into our lives. God has forgiven us and always forgives us! God always loves us and will always love us! So follow God’s example! Love not only ourselves but someone who is feeling less than loveable! Wow! Keep giving! Keep loving! God will provide all our needs whether we know it or not! Happiness is in the knowing!!!

Hang out with people who like you!
who make you feel good about you!
Who support you!
Who are sensitive to how you feel!
Who you love!
Who show you that they appreciate that you love them!
Be in positive places
Places that make you feel good about having been there!
People, places, and things you feel good about yourself afterwards!
